As a biblical church, NewSpring Church Kenya is committed to faithfully teaching the full counsel of God's Word. We are a multi-generational family and a church-planting movement, dedicated to making disciples today who will impact communities and plant churches for generations to come.
"Teaching all of God's Word to all generations, planting churches for the future."
NewSpring Church Kenya was launched on February 4, 2023, with a vision to be a gospel-centered community in our continent. From the very beginning, our founders stepped forward in faith to shepherd this local church family.
Connect With UsNewSpring Church Kenya was launched with a vision to be a gospel-centered community. Founders Pastor Simon Maina and his wife Phyllis stepped forward in faith to shepherd this local church family, and our journey has been marked by God's faithfulness in building strong foundations.
A key early milestone was the development of our local elder team. Six men from among us were raised up to provide spiritual leadership, guidance, and care — ensuring that the church is rooted in and led by Kenyans for our specific context. This team provides the stability for our growth and outreach.
We are grateful for the friendship and initial support of NewSpring Church in South Carolina, which shared in our launching vision. This connected us to Key of Hope — a ministry dedicated to the lifelong discipleship of children and young people — and to the Worldwide Discipleship Association for spiritual growth materials.
Through our partnership with Key of Hope, we actively reach out to children in our community. Our location has also allowed us to welcome and disciple university students from Laikipia University and other learning institutions, investing in the next generation of leaders.
Our prayer is that NewSpring Church Kenya will not just be a single congregation, but a launching pad for a movement — a church that plants other churches, multiplying healthy, biblical communities across Kenya and beyond, all for the glory of God and the expansion of His Kingdom.
Five core commitments that shape everything we do as a church — from how we worship, to how we make disciples, to how we engage our community and the world.
Our communal life begins and ends with the Gospel. We express this through joyful, truthful worship that responds to who God is and what He has done in Christ, shaping every aspect of our life together.
In Practice: Expository preaching, Christ-centered singing, prayer, and gathering as a multi-generational family.
We are committed to teaching the full counsel of God's Word to see every member mature in Christ. This happens through structured teaching, accountable relationships, and equipping every believer for ministry.
In Practice: Cornerstone Academy, School of Ministry, Leadership Institute, one-on-one mentorship, training in sound doctrine.
Compelled by Christ's love, we actively share the Gospel in our community and to the ends of the earth. We see our locality, and strategic global partnerships as our mission field.
In Practice: Evangelism training, outreach through Key of Hope, ministry to students, and supporting church planting.
We value God-honoring partnerships — from our foundational ties with NewSpring SC and our partnership with Key of Hope and Worldwide Discipleship Association, to vital local Kenyan alliances. We believe collaboration amplifies our gospel impact.
In Practice: Shared resources, joint ministry projects, financial support, and mutual encouragement with like-minded churches and organizations.
We are a sending community. We steward the Gospel, our resources, and our people by investing in future generations and intentionally planting new churches to see a movement spread across Kenya and beyond.
In Practice: Leadership development, allocating resources for church planting, and a culture that celebrates sending out members to launch new congregations.
